How to Setup a Required, Optional Force Show, and Optional Modifier Groups

How to set modifiers to be required, optional, or optional-forced:

1. Back-end Setup: If you're integrated with the Softpoint system, required modifiers will be set based on your back-of-house configuration.

2. Create a Modifier Group: After creating a modifier group, go to the general settings of the modifier group.

3. Select Modifier Group: In the general settings, find the option to set the modifier as optional, optional-forced, or required. This will apply to the modifier itself.

4. Set Modifier for Individual Items:

   • Go to the layout section.
   • Select the item (e.g., California burger) to which you want to apply modifier settings.
   • Under the modifier group for the item, click on the edit option.

5. Adjust Modifier Settings: In the edit section, choose the modifier status for the item:

   • Required: Set with a minimum and maximum number.
   • Optional: The modifier is always optional and will not pop up.
   • Optional-forced: The modifier group will appear automatically when selecting the item.

6. Save Changes: After making the adjustments, save your changes.
