Here is how to setup and use the Void Reasons:
Setup
- Go to the Dashboard in the SoftPoint Point of Sale system.
- Navigate to Setup → Payments → Void Reasons.
- You can either:
- Edit an existing void reason, or
- Click Add Void Reason to create a new one.
- When creating a new void reason:
- Enter the name (e.g., “Manager Comp” or “Training”).
- Make sure the status is set to Active.
- Click Submit.
Use
- Refresh the POS system so the new void reason appears.
- Log in and create an order (e.g., add an item like a Coke).
- Once the item is sent, select Void.
- Choose the appropriate void reason (e.g., Training or Manager Comp).
- Click Submit to complete the void.
To review voided items:
- Go to Reports.
- Open the Voided Items Report.
- The report will show all voided items along with their selected void reasons.
This allows you to set up custom void reasons, apply them to transactions, and track them in reports.
