How to set up and use coursing on the SoftPoint Point of Sale (POS) system to control the order in which food is served:

How to Use Coursing:

1. Create a Ticket & Add Items:
   • Add items like appetizers, salads, or entrees.
   • Long-hold an item to assign it a course number (e.g., 1st course, 2nd course, 3rd course).
   • This controls the order items appear on the kitchen chit.
2. Kitchen Chit Layout:
   • Items appear in order: first course at the top, followed by second and third courses.
   • Helps kitchen staff know when to prepare and serve each dish.

How to Enable Coursing:

1. Go to the dashboard → modifier groups.
2. Create a modifier group (e.g., named "Course").
3. Enable the "Coursing Modifier Group" checkbox.
   • This allows the POS to recognize and organize items by course.
4. Add modifiers to the group as needed.
