Steps to Assign Seats in SoftPoint POS

Log into the SoftPoint Application:
- Start by logging into the SoftPoint POS application.

Choose or Create a Ticket:
- Select an existing ticket or create a new ticket if you don't have one yet.
- For a new ticket, select a table to associate with the order.

Input the Number of Covers:
- Input the number of covers (guests) at the table. For example, if you have 4 guests, enter 4 covers.

Select Items to Order:
- Choose the items you would like to order from the menu.

Seat Assignment for Each Item:
- When prompted, select a seat for each item.
- Seat selection can be required or optional, based on your system settings.
- You can assign an item to one seat, multiple seats, or all seats.
Example:
- Select seat one for the first item.
- Select all seats for the second item (this will divide the item equally among the number of covers).

Review Item Distribution:
- As you order, an indicator will show how many items are applied to each seat.
- In the shopping cart, items will be organized by seat:
- An item assigned to seat one will show as a full item.
- An item assigned to all seats will show as divided according to the number of covers.

Editing Seat Assignments:
- To edit the seat assignment, long press and hold the item in the cart.
- Modify the seat assignment as needed to reflect changes.

Send the Order:
- After making any adjustments, click send to finalize and send the order.
- The seat numbers will be sent to the POS system and will print in the kitchen or appear on the KDS (Kitchen Display System).
