NOTE: Local mode ensures syncing across offline devices and kitchen printers as long as all the devices are on the same network.
When a locations network is offline, the devices will automatically switch to offline mode indicated by the red banner at the top of the app screen. While the devices are offline they will still have access to the following functions:
- Ordering - Devices will sync with each other while ordering without issue.
- Kitchen printing - Once items are sent on a ticket, they will still be able to send to their kitchen printers at SPPOS locations.
- Payments - Devices will sync with each other when payments have been completed.
Once the devices are connected back to the network the red banner at the top will disappear.
To enable these settings:
- Go to your store in dashboard.
- Go to the "Configuration" section and select "settings".
- On the settings page look for "Allow Offline Payment" and "Allow Offline Orders".
- Hit "Save at the bottom.
