To access and use the Transactions Report in the SoftPoint dashboard, follow these steps:
Accessing the Transactions Report
- Log in to the SoftPoint Dashboard.
- Go to Reports: Under the OPERATIONS tab on the left side, select Reports.
- Locate the Transactions Report: Scroll down to the Payments and Discounts section on the right.
- View the Report: Click the View button next to the Transactions Report.
Using the Transactions Report
- The upper section allows you to search for specific transactions by:
- Transaction ID
- Ticket Number
- Employee
- Guest
- Last 4 Digits of a Card
- Date Range: Choose from options like:
- Today
- Yesterday
- Last 7 Days
- Last 30 Days
- This Month
- Last Month
- Custom Range
- Location Filter: Corporate users can select one or multiple locations.
Advanced Search Options
- In the top-right corner, you’ll find the Advanced Search option, which allows further filtering based on:
- Customer Information: First Name, Last Name, Phone Number (if biometric payment was used).
- Transaction Type: Sale, Authorization, Void, Refund, Capture, Decline, Tip Adjust, Credit, Batch, Reversal, EBT Inquiry.
- Payment Type: POS Payment, Processor Payment, Standalone Transaction.
- Tender Type
- Employee
- Status: Approved, Declined, Pending Review, Capture, Rejected, Refunded, Partially Refunded, Voided, Reversed.
- Processor: If multiple processors are set up, you can choose the desired one.
Generating and Viewing the Report
- After setting up the filters, click the Search button on the right to generate the report.
- The report displays:
- Payment Type (Sale, Void, Refund, Authorization, Capture)
- Status (Approved or Declined)
- Transaction Number
- Ticket Number
- Employee Who Processed the Payment
- Base Amount
- Tip Amount
- Surcharge
- Total Amount
- Payment Method (e.g., Cash, AMEX, VISA, MasterCard, Discover, Other)
- Last 4 Digits of the Card
- Date and Time of Transaction
