Yes — SoftPoint supports digital gift cards through our integration with Factor4, which is fully integrated with both Apple Wallet and Google Wallet.
How It Works
Customers can store their gift cards directly in their Apple or Google Wallet for easy, contactless redemption. At the time of purchase, staff can redeem a gift card in one of two ways:
- Scan the QR code from the customer's wallet
- Manually enter the gift card number if a scanner is not available
How Digital Gift Cards Are Added to a Wallet
There are two methods for enabling wallet functionality:
- Online Sales Link (ECOM) — A custom link is embedded into your website, allowing customers to purchase both digital (e-gift) and physical gift cards. Each digital card purchased will include a link to automatically add it to their wallet.
- QR Code on Physical Cards — A QR code can be printed on plastic gift cards that, when scanned, automatically adds the card to the customer's Apple or Google Wallet.
