Viewing, Filtering, and Searching Transactions

Log In:
- Access the SoftPoint gateway and log in.

Navigate to Transactions:
- Under the Operations tab on the left side, select Transactions.

Filtering Transactions:
- Filter Section: The report is divided into two sections. The first section is for filtering.
- Search Bar: Use this to search for a specific transaction by transaction number, ticket number, employee, or guest.
- Date Filter: Choose a date range (Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, This Month, Last Month, or Custom Range).
- Location Filter: Select the location(s) you want to view transactions for.
- Advanced Search: Located on the right side, it allows filtering by:
- Transaction Type (Sale, Authorization, Tip Adjust, Void, Refund)
- Tender Type (AMEX, Credit Card, MasterCard, Visa, Discover)
- Status (Approved, Declined, Pending Review, Capture, Rejected)
- Processor (Ding transactions, local currency transactions, USD transactions)
- Bank, Payment Source, or Currency

Viewing Transactions:
- The second section will display transactions based on the applied filters.
- Details Displayed:
- Type: Indicates whether the transaction is a capture, authorization, etc.
- Status: Shows whether the payment is approved, declined, refunded, etc.
- Transaction Number: Provided by the payment processor.
- SoftPoint ID (located under the transaction number): A unique ID generated by SoftPoint.
- Order ID & Guest ID: IDs sent by the collar application (like Maple or Singleview).
- Currency, Amount, Tip, Surcharge: Displays financial details of the transaction.
- Payment Method: Shows the card type and last 4 digits of the card number.
- Under the BY filter: Source/Collar of the application: Indicates where the payment originated from (e.g., iframe, eComm).
- Created By: Displays the location name, date, and time of the transaction.
Performing Voids and Refunds

Access Transaction Details:
- Click the three-dot icon at the end of the transaction line (on the right).
- Select Transaction Details.

Action Options:
- In the transaction details, find the action button on the right for:
- Viewing logs for support (on the top right by clicking on the three dots icon).
- On the bottom:
- Emailing or texting a receipt.
- Performing a Refund or Void.
- To confirm a refund or void, click the button again.
- In the transaction details, find the action button on the right for:
Exporting Transaction Reports
- Exporting Data:
- In the second section of the report, click Export in the top right corner.
- Choose the format (Excel, PDF, CSV) for exporting the report.
This process should help you efficiently manage and export transaction data in SoftPoint.
