Process to Attach a Payment to a Ticket in SoftPoint POS

Log in to SoftPoint Application:
- Open the SoftPoint application on your device and log in.

Access Payment Matcher:
- Tap the three bars in the top right corner.
- Select Reports > Payment Matcher.

Select Open Ticket:
- The device screen will display all open tickets.
- Select the ticket you want to attach the transaction to.

View Transactions:
- The next screen will show the available transactions.
- Select the transaction you want to attach to the ticket.

Handling Errors and Partial Refunds:
- If the transaction is already attached to another ticket, an error message will appear.
- If you choose Yes to match, the system will notify you that the amount paid is greater than the amount due.
- In this case, a Partial Refund needs to be processed.

Refund Process:
- Go back to the Transactions section.
- Search for the transaction you need to refund (you can search by ticket number, transaction number, guest name, last 4 digits of the card, or card type).
- Select the transaction to view its details.
- Scroll to the bottom and select Refund.
- Choose Partial Refund, then enter the desired amount to refund.
- Hit Refund to process the partial refund.

Re-matching the Ticket:
- Once the payment amount and balance due on the ticket match, return to Payment Matcher and repeat the matching process.

Error Message Resolution:
- If another error message appears stating that the transaction must be removed from the POS first, follow these steps:
- Log in to the CMC (Central Management Console), select the store, and VNC (Virtual Network Computing) to the terminal.
- Log in to the terminal.
- Find the relevant ticket and reopen the check.
- Delete the payment item associated with the transaction.
- If another error message appears stating that the transaction must be removed from the POS first, follow these steps:

Finalizing the Match:
- After deleting the payment item, go back to the Clover device and repeat the process above to re-match the ticket successfully.
