Steps to Manage Table Layout in SoftPoint POS
- Log into SoftPoint:
- Begin by logging into the SoftPoint application using your credentials.
- Navigate to Table Layout Screen:
- Once logged in, navigate to the table layout screen where you can manage and view the different sections (e.g., main room, patio, etc.).
- View Different Sections:
- Select different sections of the layout, such as the main room or patio, to view available tables.
- Selecting a Table:
- Choose the table you want to work with. You will be prompted to:
- Start it as a tab or start it as a ticket.
- For this example, select "Start as a Ticket" and click Continue to begin adding items to the ticket.
- Choose the table you want to work with. You will be prompted to:
- Creating the Order:
- After selecting the table and starting the order, you can begin adding items to the ticket.
- Once the order is created and sent, the table will be marked as occupied in the layout.
- Switching Views:
- To switch from the table layout view to a list of tickets:
- Press to view the list of open tickets.
- Press again to return to the table layout view.
- To switch from the table layout view to a list of tickets:
- Editing the Table Layout:
- If you need to rearrange the tables:
- Select the revenue center in the center of the screen for layout editing.
- Long press the revenue center to enter the table editing mode.
- Enter the PIN number for authorization.
- You can drag and drop tables to reorganize the layout.
- Once completed, hit the save icon at the bottom right.
- If you need to rearrange the tables:
- Saving the Layout:
- After making the necessary changes, save the updated layout by pressing the save symbol to apply the changes.
This process helps you manage and adjust the table layout in SoftPoint POS, allowing you to easily track and modify table arrangements based on current needs.

If you would like to include the names of open tickets on tables for the table layout view, check the steps below.
- Turn on the setting in Setup -> Configuration -> Settings.
- Run a Quick Refresh on device, and check the Tab Name on Table Layout.
Table display colors:
- Red tables - Have an active ticket that the current user is the owner of.
- Gray tables with Blue borders - Open tables with no orders.
- Gray tables without borders - Table has an open ticket on it.
