How does Credit Card Surcharge Work

To apply a surcharge on credit card transactions using SoftPoint POS:

1. Log into the system and select an open ticket to pay.
2. View the balance due, which includes the total, cash due, and credit due.
3. Surcharging only applies to credit card transactions (debit cards cannot be surcharged).
4. When paying by card, the surcharge amount will be displayed based on backend configurations.
5. After processing the payment, the total (including the surcharge) is confirmed, and the check is closed.
