Steps to Process a Payment Using SoftPoint

Log into SoftPoint:
- Begin by logging into the SoftPoint system.

Access the Table Layout Screen:
- Once logged in, start on the table layout screen where you can select different areas such as main room or patio.

Select a Table and Start a Ticket:
- Choose a table where the order will be taken.
- Start a new ticket for the table.

Fill in Ticket Details:
- Enter the necessary details for the ticket.
- Optionally, you can change the dining type if needed (e.g., dine-in, take-out).
- The table and writing center will be set based on your selection.

Proceed to Add Items:
- Click continue to proceed.
- Add the items to the ticket and send the order to the kitchen.
Payment Process

Option 1: Pay Directly on the Terminal:
- If you're using the terminal to process payment, you can pay directly by choosing the payment method (e.g., cash).
- Process the payment for the ticket, then select receipt options if desired.
- Once completed, the ticket will be marked as closed.

Option 2: Use a Separate Device:
- Alternatively, log into a separate device to see a list of open tickets.
- Select the ticket you want to continue adding items to.

Continue Adding Items:
- Add more items to the ticket as needed.

Payment Processing on Separate Device:
- Once ready to complete the order, click Pay and choose the card payment option.
- Select a tip amount and proceed with the payment process.

Finalizing Payment:
- The payment will be processed on the device.
- Afterward, select receipt options if required.

Mark Ticket as Closed:
- Once the payment is completed, the ticket will be marked as closed.
- Re-select the table, and you will see that the ticket has been closed and updated.
