How to Access Demo Mode for SoftPoint POS

 

Accessing Demo Mode in the SoftPoint App

Follow these steps to explore SoftPoint in Demo Mode:

1. Go to Google Play Store
2. Search “DataPoint”
3. Download and Install

4. Open the SoftPoint App
   After downloading the app, you’ll see the main login screen.

5. Open Demo Mode
   Tap the three dots in the upper right corner and select Demo Mode.

6. Choose a Location
   From the list, select SoftPoint Innovation Center, then tap Next Step.

7. Select Your Device Type
   Choose Tablet or Smartphone depending on your device.

8. Log In
   Once the demo loads, enter PIN: 1234 to access the POS system.

9. Explore the POS
   In Demo Mode, you can:

   • Open and manage tickets

   • Move tables

   • Make payments

   • Switch between revenue centers

   • Test modifiers, seat selections, and more

   Demo Mode works completely offline, so you don’t need an internet connection.

10. Example Flow

    • Start a new ticket

    • Add items and modifiers

    • Choose a seat and send the order

    • Make a simulated card payment (tip and donation options included)

    • Select a receipt option (or choose “No Thank You”)

11. Exit Demo Mode
    Tap the three lines in the top corner → select Log Out.
    You’ll be asked to confirm leaving Demo Mode — choose Yes to clear demo data.
