Tap-to-Phone Demo
Please note, in this demo we used a Stand-Alone Payment to show the transaction process. Here are the steps we followed to showcase the demo:
1. Open the SoftPoint App
a. Launch the application on your mobile device.
2. Initiate a Stand-Alone Payment
a. Select the option to begin a stand-alone payment.
3. Enter Payment Amount
a. Input the desired dollar amount for the transaction.
4. Skip Donation Prompt (if applicable)
a. If prompted for a donation, you can choose to skip by selecting “No, thank you.”
5. Tap Card to Phone
a. Present your contactless card to the back of the phone where the NFC reader is located.
6. Wait for Processing
a. The app will process the payment. Wait for the confirmation screen.
7. View Completion Screen
a. Once the payment is successful, a completion screen will appear.
8. Receipt Option
a. You can choose to:
i. Print the receipt
ii. Text the receipt
iii. Email the receipt
9. Refund Option Available
a. You can refund the transaction just like any other:
i. Locate the transaction (e.g., $10)
1) Can be located in the "All Day Sales" report
2) Can be located in the "Transactions" report
ii. Select the refund option
iii. Complete the refund process
