Instructions for Configuring Axis Camera for SoftPoint

Install Axis IP Utility Program
- Download the Axis IP Utility program from the official link:

Acquire the Axis Camera IP
- Launch the Axis IP Utility program.
- All Axis devices connected to your network should be listed automatically.
- Copy the target camera’s IP address from the list.

Open Axis Camera Dashboard
- Open your browser and paste the Camera IP into the URL bar to access the camera’s dashboard.

Login to Axis Camera Dashboard
- First-time access: If this is your first time accessing the dashboard, you will be prompted to create an admin account.
- Returning users: Log in using your admin credentials.

Allow Anonymous Users in Axis Dashboard
- In the Axis Camera Dashboard, click on the settings button at the bottom right corner.
- Go to the Systems tab.
- Click on the Users button in the tab pane.
- Toggle the Allow anonymous viewers switch to enable anonymous access.

Configure Static IP in Axis Dashboard
- Again, click on the settings button at the bottom right corner.
- Go to the Systems tab.
- Click on the IP/TCP button in the tab pane.
- Under the IPV4 section, configure the static IP:
- Set the dropdown menu to Manual IP and Manual DNS.
- Set the IP Address.
- Set the Subnet Mask.
- Set the Default Router.
- Click Save to apply changes.

Configure Static IP on SoftPoint Dashboard
- Once the camera's static IP is configured, make sure to update the SoftPoint Dashboard with the same IP address to ensure the camera can be accessed and used by the Kiosk.
Notes:
- Both the Kiosk and Axis Camera must be connected to the same network in order for the camera’s feed to display correctly on the Kiosk.
- If the location uses a physical Ethernet connection and the Kiosk displays "no network cable detected" (which causes a "no feed" error) have the merchant attempt the following steps:
- Open the back cover of the Kiosk and reseat network cable on both ends (meaning the switch in the Kiosk and wall jack connection).
- Link light needs to show "green" light on the port connection, if not proceed to next step.
- Power drain kiosk and TP link switch by unplugging the Kiosk from power source and leave it out for 60-90 seconds, then plugging it back in.
- Link light needs to show "green" light on the port connection, if not proceed to next step.
- Change port on the switch.
- Link light needs to show "green" light on the port connection, if not proceed to next step.
- After that a network test of the cables, wall jack, switch and fix the point of failure, including replacing the network cable if needed.
- Open the back cover of the Kiosk and reseat network cable on both ends (meaning the switch in the Kiosk and wall jack connection).

Steps to Factory Reset the Camera:
- Disconnect the power from the camera.
- Reconnect the power to the camera and immediately press and hold the control button (labeled ‘1’ on the camera).
- Hold the control button for 5-10 seconds or until it blinks.
- The camera will now be reset. You can use the Axis IP Utility to change the IP or access the camera’s admin panel to configure the camera.
